The Subversive Gardener Pop Up Open in Shoreditch London

(BOXPARK, LONDON)

The Subversive Gardener Pop-Up @BOXPARK is a multi-media installation inside a shipping container filled with plants, customised wallpaper a bespoke scent and accompanied by an original score by David Gardener, a member of the South London band Dems. The Subversive Gardener Pop Up @BOXPARK debuted a new line of accessories designed by Vanessa Harden that function as guerrilla gardening tools. Brass nail dusters are a new spin on knuckle dusters and function as a rake, spade, or shovel while a 24 carat gold-plated grillz (teeth) shoots seeds at a distance. These are some of the pieces you’ll find at the pop-up.

The container also contains the Subversive Gardener's Lab, offering daily guerrilla gardening workshops to the public that teach seed saving techniques and bespoke tools making skills.

Members of the public will also be invited to learn about seed pills, seed bombs and other DIY gardening products. Workshops and talks from guerrilla gardeners and environmental activists were scheduled throughout the Subversive Gardener Pop Up @BOXPARK.
